Cocktails
As longtime readers may already know, I’ve become enamored — perhaps even obsessed! — with the science of mixology. New York City is currently undergoing something of a cocktail renaissance, with many bars returning to the classic methods of creating drinks: fresh ingredients (no pre-made mixes), strong flavors, and exacting attention to measurement and detail. Dedicated Cocktail lounges like The Flatiron Lounge, Clover Club, PDT, Weather Up, and more have sprung up around Brooklyn and Manhattan, and more importantly even a lot of restaurant bars are starting to take their cocktails much more seriously.
It’s a science, in its own way, much like cooking or baking, and I’m fascinated by it. I’ve picked up a few books and spent a lot of time practicing, and I periodically post my own cocktail recipes to my blog. This page collects them in one location for ease of use!
