The Most Shameful of Secrets

I have a painful admission to make. I’m addicated to a … a … golf game! I feel so white, and rich, and old. But it should be noted that I’m not addicted to PLAYING golf. No, I’m far too uncoordinated for that — I have a hard time walking around the house without bumping into things and hurting myself! What I am addicted to is True Swing Golf for the Nintendo DS. I may honestly have to start leaving it home on my commutes in and out of Brooklyn, if I ever want to get back to My French Coach. Anyway, True Swing Golf is quite excellent. The 3D Graphics aren’t gorgeous, but they get the job done, and the controls are really intuitive. The courses are varied enough to keep things interesting, and they get progressively harder to the point where it’s often hard not to unleash a torrent of invective so profane that it actually flays the skin from the bodies of my fellow subway riders.
Which, actually, would be kind of cool.
Anyway, it’s twenty bucks, so if you’ve got a DS and are looking for a surprisingly addictive game, even if you’re not particularly into golf. I’m certainly not, but I’m getting a big kick out of it.
PS – those CSS fixes really ARE coming very soon. When I said 24-48 hours, I wasn’t counting on pre-E3 work at Crispy taking over my entire life, including both Saturday and Sunday. I love games, but I hate E3 with the undying passion of a thousand burning suns.
